Gardnerville woman faces battery, drug charges

A 34-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos woman with prior convictions for domestic battery and drug use was arrested Monday on similar charges at the home of her former husband.

Linda Cervantes was charged with unlawful use of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and domestic battery with a prior conviction.

East Fork Justice Tom Perkins set bail at $5,000 on both charges, and told Cervantes if she bails out, she would be under the supervision of the Department of Alternative Sentencing and must abstain from alcohol and controlled substances.
