Lloyd Joe Tucker, age 76, of Delaware passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his home. He was born August 10, 1936 at Dardanelle to the late Burt Deral and Francis Hancock Tucker. He was in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Essex CVA-9 Carrier from 1954 - 1961 traveling to many ports in the world. He loved to play music with his band, Absolute Country. He also loved to go fishing, being outdoors, watching the Texas Rangers and he loved to read Westerns. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Lee Tucker; one step son, Randy Gellerman; one sister, Bertina O'Gwyn; one brother, James Tucker.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Quana Tucker of Delaware; two sons, Billy Joe Tucker and wife, Lisa of Nevada, Dearl Tucker and wife, Laura of Dardanelle; three stepchildren, Kim Drye and husband, Corey of Delaware, Tammy Standridge of Dardanelle, Todd Standridge of Dallas; three brothers, John Tucker, David Tucker both of Dardanelle, Robert Ray Tucker and wife, Betty of Amity; two sisters, Pearl Scott, Mary Detrick both of Dardanelle; ten step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 1, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Shelly Borden officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers: members of the Absolute Country Band, Carmon Wise, Bobby Chanler, Robert Huddleson, Billy Tanner.
