Girls' Soccer: Douglas blasts Hug

The Douglas girls' soccer team cruised to a win over Hug Tuesday afternoon, winning 13-1 in Minden.

Lexie Weaver and McKenna Kynett each scored three goals and and Lindsey Adams, Caitlin Jones and Alissa Holley each had two goals.

Samantha Crawford scored a goal and had an assist in her first varsity game in the midfield and Chelsea Chambers got her first varsity start in net.

Jones had a pair of assists, as did Kynett. Kassidy Freitas added another assist in the win.

Douglas improved to 10-2 overall and 7-1 in Northern Division I play. The Tigers extended their win streak to seven and their home win streak to 16 matches. Douglas has also gone unbeaten at home through its last 19 matches.

They'll put all of those streaks on the line Saturday, hosting rival Carson High at 1 p.m.
