The Douglas High girls' tennis team used big first and third rounds to pull away with a 12-6 win at Incline Tuesday afternoon.
Douglas outscored the Highlanders 5-1 in the first round and, after splitting the second round 3-3, the Tigers put the match away with a 4-2 third round.
The Tiger doubles squads had a particularly strong day, winning eight of nine sets and sweeping the first and third rounds.
Ingrid Carlson and Kelly Sonnemann won their two sets, Bryana McNamara and Katelin Tiegen won all three of their sets and Kellie Hergenrader and Marissa Cowan won all three of their sets.
Kari TenBroeck and Courtney McKimmey each won their two sets on the singles side to round out the Tigers' scoring on the afternoon.
