Volleyball: Douglas picks up key league win

The Douglas High girls' volleyball team picked up a key league win on the road Tuesday night, defeating Damonte Ranch in four games, 25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-17.

Katie McCullough had a breakout match for the Tigers, recording 14 kills, four blocks and four digs.

Jenna Broussard and Kristina Barnum each had six kills, Shawnee McFadden added five and Shelby VanWinkle had four.

McFadden and Broussard each added two blocks while McFadden had 14 digs and two aces.

VanWinkle dished out 18 assists and had two aces.

Also for Douglas, Ariah Barth had six digs, Bailey Gansberg had five assists, Sage Pintler had three kills, two digs, two assists and two aces.
