The first Nevada woman to hold federal office, former Congresswoman Barbara Vucanovich, will be campaigning in Gardnerville for Mitt Romney this afternoon.
Vucanovich served as the first representative in Congress in Nevada's second Congressional District after it was created as a result of the 1980 Census.
She served from 1983 until her retirement in 1997.
She will be joined by Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn at the Douglas County GOP Ice Cream Social and BBQ on the Corley Ranch, 2:20 - 2:50 p.m.
