A 49-year-old man died Tuesday night in South Lake Tahoe after being struck by a van on westbound Highway 50.At about 9:16 p.m., South Lake Tahoe Police Officer Chris Webber had just exited his police car and was walking to a business located on Highway 50 just west of Pioneer Trail.
