After three successful years of hosting the Run Ed Run 5K/10K fundraiser, the Douglas County Education Foundation added a new wrinkle for this year.In addition to the 5K and 10K runs, which start and end at Douglas High School, the foundation will host a half marathon (13.1 miles) this year.This year's event will be Oct. 7, with the half marathon starting at 8 a.m. and the 5K and 10K runs starting at 9 a.m. "We've had good reception in the community over our first three years," said event organizer Jill Alley.
