Museum needs help identifying photos

Help the Douglas County Historical Society keep the memory of the past alive.

They have a number of historic photographs in their archives, but many of the people in the pictures go unrecognized. They need the help of all old time families, their friends, relatives and those with a good eye for history to stop by the museum and help identify these lost legends.

If you are interested in helping identify the photos, or if you have photos of your own where you need help in identifying forgotten friends and relatives, stop by the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395 in Gardnerville, 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday.

The museum will have staff on hand to help with your photo identification, so be sure to bring any historic photos you wish to show and share with friends. If you cannot make this event, but would like to help identify some of the old photos, call 782-2555 to schedule an appointment.
