Daryl and Margie Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 21.The Gardnerville couple was married in 1962 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Canoga Park, Calif.Daryl was raised in Hutchinson, Minn., and Margie is part of the fifth generation born in Los Angeles County, growing up mostly in Palmdale and El Monte, Calif.Daryl and Margie met at Pierce College in San Fernando Valley.
