Mammoth Lakes man killed in traffic accident

A Mammoth Lakes man was killed Saturday in a 11:30 a.m. traffic accident at Highway 395 and Obsidian Dome Road.

Randy Sly, 53, died after he allegedly pulled out onto Highway 395 from Obsidian Dome Road without stopping, and into the path of a gray Jeep SUV. The Jeep hit Sly's Caravan on the driver's side. The Jeep was lying on its side when Mono County deputies arrived on scene.

The Jeep's passengers suffered major injuries, and were taken to Mammoth Hospital for treatment.
