South Lake Tahoe police are investigating a possible link between a homicide and suspected suicide.About 2:30 p.m. June 20, police responded to the Lone Pine Lodge to investigate a reportedly suspicious circumstance after management reported hearing a child crying in one of the rooms. Officers entered the room and located a woman dead on the bed, with her 2-year-old child crying nearby. The child was not injured and was put into the care of Child Protective Services.
