Indian Hills resident earns Eagle Scout

Matthew Alexander Tooker, 15, of Indian Hills, has earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to scouts, the Eagle Scout Award.

Tooker was recognized in ceremonies at the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.

A member of Carson Valley Lions Club, Troop 411, Tooker is one of approximately four percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank.

Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community or church-related service project to earn his Eagle; Tooker chose to coordinate a combined community blood drive, food drive and bone marrow registration event in Gardnerville. …
