Dave Russell performs for GE concert series

The Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department continues the 2012 GE Family Concert Series with Dave Russell Band.

Co-sponsored by Carson Valley Medical Center the concert is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 22 at Minden Park. Bring a low back chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of music in the park. Organizers ask that if attendees go early to save a space, do not place any towels or blankets directly on the grass. Food will be available to purchase provided by the Lion's Club.

Dave Russell is a, "Down home, good ole' boy from North Carolina" who has toured the country performing sold out shows in Nashville, San Antonio, Reno, Biloxi, and all over California. He is now based out of Sacramento, Calif., loving the sun, fun and making music with his band.

Russell recently signed with Nashville Record Label, Cupit Records, under development by multi award winning producer, Jerry Cupit. From the first note to the last, be prepared to hear cover tunes by the greats of country music along with Russell's own brand of originals from his Nashville Project soon to be released nationally.
