Motorcyclist killed after being runover on Highway 50

A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle was then run over by another vehicle in a fatal accident on Thursday night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred on Highway 50 between Silver Springs and Fallon near mile marker 33.

Preliminary investigation of the accident revealed that a 40-year-old Fallon man was riding his 2006 Black in color Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 50. The motorcycle left the south paved portion of the roadway and the motorcycle struck the south guardrail face. The motorcycle continued eastbound, overturned and ejected the driver.
