Horses and music at Wild West Fest

Nevada Horse Park is having a fundraising event featuring Brenn Hill and the Road Kill Band during their Wild West Fest saturday and Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

The fundraiser features two-day team roping by Waco McGill and Daniel Shehady, with a craft fair, barbecue and horsemanship classes. Most events start at 9 a.m. The concert is 7 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Singer/songwriter Brenn Hill's most recent release, "Equine," (2010) has a broad theme of horses, the cowboy's working partner.
