Library summer reading programs begins June 1

The Douglas County Public Library's teen and children's summer reading programs start June 1 and continue through July 21.

"Dream Big, Read" is the theme of this year's program for kids. Registration starts June 1 at the Minden and Zephyr Cove libraries.

A summer reading kick-off event is 5 p.m. June 5 at the CVIC Hall. Usborne Books will present a book fair again this year. Books for all ages will be available. Each purchase helps buy new books for the library.
