EDITOR:I read the article about how many teaching positions were being eliminated due to budget problems in the district. I do agree that cut backs are necessary, but my question is this, why do these cutbacks have to be from the classroom? Why does Douglas High School and Carson Valley Middle School have to have all these vice principals? If its security that is an issue, maybe they should not have reduced those positions. I grew up in California in a much larger school district, which had one principal and a vice principal, that's it. I am very confused as …
