Carson Valley Days buttons on sale

More than 30 Valley merchants and offices have the Carson Valley Day buttons for sale, and anyone planning to attend the June 9 Carson Valley Days parade should be wearing one or expect to be placed in the rolling Soroptimist jail.

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley is an international club with a focus on women and children. This is one fundraising event they use to help achieve their goals of helping the community. The theme for Carson Valley Days is "Irish Celebration," so the buttons are in keeping with that theme. Buttons cost $1 a piece prior to the parade, and on the day of the parade they go up to $2 each.

Buttons are available at the following locations: U.S. Bank, AM/PM Gardnerville, 7-Eleven in the Ranchos, Jethros, Douglas County Treasurer, Carson Valley Country Club, Buckaroos, ABE Printing, Nevada Ugly, Scolari's, Hamdogs, Wildhorse, Nevada State Bank, Sharkey's Laxague Feed and Supply, Ace Hardware, Heritage Bank, Tumblewind, Valley Eye Care, Tahoe Ridge Winery, French Bar, J.T.'s, Trimmer's Outpost, Chamber of Commerce, Town of Gardnerville, Carson Tahoe Chiropractic, Heartstrings Gallery, First American Title, Northern Nevada Title, Re/Max, Carson Valley Inn, Law Office of Karen Winters, Town of Minden, Coffee on Main (U.S. 395 location only), Bank of America, Francisco's Mexican Restaurant, CVI Market and Raley's.
