Grant Denny (Douglas, '11), fr., Feather River: Feather River won the UNLV rodeo over the weekend to close out the regular season. Denny took third in bareback riding. On the year, Feather River leads the overall standings by nearly 2,000 points, Denny ranks fifth in the men's all-around and second in bareback.
Bethany Wurster (Douglas '10), fr., Oregon State: The Beavers earned an invitation to the NCAA Division I Regional Tournament and will compete in Colorado on May 10.
Chris Balcom-Miller (Douglas '06), P, Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox Double-A): Balcom-Miller is 1-2 through four starts with a 6.86 ERA. He has 12 strikeouts in 19.2 innings.
Jordan Hadlock (Douglas, '08), sr., C, Cal Poly: The Mustangs are 26-17 on the year and have won four in a row after sweeping three games from Pacific.
Tyler Hoelzen (Douglas, '09), jr., P, Sacramento State: Hoelzen has appeared in 22 games, striking out 24 and walking just nine in 22.2 innings of work.
Phil Mannelly (Douglas, '07), sr., OF, Lynn (Fla.): The Knights are 31-13 overall on the year. Mannelly has driven in seven runs on the year.
Kyle Ford (Douglas, '10), soph., C, Feather River: Feather River is 30-6 overall and 16-4 in Golden Valley Conference play. Ford is batting .264 with 11 RBIs, a double, two triples and a home run for the Golden Eagles this season.
Kameron Van Winkle (Douglas, '11), fr., SS, Siskiyous: Van Winkle is batting .285 in 35 games with 13 doubles, a pair of home runs and 16 RBIs.
Shane Fencl (Douglas, '11), fr., SS, Feather River: Fencl has played in 12 games for the Golden Eagles and has a pair of doubles and an RBI.
Matt Thomas (Douglas, '11), fr., P, Feather River: Thomas is 4-0 with a save on the year with a 0.67 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched.

Devyn Hotho (Douglas), fr., IF, St. Olaf College: St. Olaf swept Carleton College in a double header Sunday to close out the regular season.
Mysta & Mia Townsell, Chicago State: The Townsell sisters won their first doubles match together vs. North Dakota at the Great West Conference Championships recently. the following day, they won their match against Seattle University. Chicago State took third overall at the tournament.

Liz Nickles (Douglas, '09), jr., Northern Colorado: Did not compete at the Jack Christiansen Invitational.
Jessica Waggoner (Douglas, '09), soph., Army: Did not compete last week.
Wade Meddles (Sierra Lutheran, '10), soph., Azusa Pacific: Azusa Pacific claimed both the men's and women's team titles at the Golden State Athletic Conference Championships last weekend. Meddles did not compete.
Davey Fisher (Douglas, '09), jr., Pacific Lutheran: Fisher competed in the St. Martin's Invitational last weekend. He took fourth in the 400 with a time of 50.5 seconds, and set a PR in the 400 hurdles witha time of 55.9, also good for fourth. He took third in the 400 at the Northwest Conference Championships (49.6 seconds) and ran on the second-place 4x400 relay team (3:21).
Garrett Tenney (Douglas, '10), soph., Jamestown College: Tenney took sixth in the discus at the Al Castle Relays with a throw of 145 feet, 8 inches. He also took seventh in the hammer throw with a throw of 140 feet, 2 inches.
Bri Burnside (Douglas, '11), fr., College of Siskiyous: Burnside took second in the discus at the Golden Valley Conference championships with a throw of 32.06 meters. She finished seventh in the shot put (9.38 meters), and ninth in the javelin (23.33 meters).
Craig Stratton (Douglas, '10), fr., San Joaquin Delta College: Stratton won the California Junior College Big 8 Conference championships with a jump of 15 feet, 5 inches in the pole vault. He'll next compete in the Nor Cal championships today and the state championships on May 13. He cleared 14-11 at the Delta College meet, taking first in the event.
