Bigfoot children's series continues with sixth book

Gardnerville resident Colleen Nestroyl recently published her sixth book in a children's series based around the character Littlefoot and his adventures.

"When Bigfoot Went to Europe " features Littlefoot as he bounds across Europe with his new friend, Anita. He sees so many wonderful things and goes home with great memories of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, playing hide and seek at the Eiffel Tower, waiting for Big Ben to strike its dong, and playing tag around the Stonehenge Monument. He finishes the trip with going to Anita's hometown in Germany where she takes him to make cookies at the local bakery. They learn a lot about landmarks that made history throughout time.

"Going on Bigfoot adventures will take you to places you might never in a lifetime get to go," Nestroyl said. "Learning about foods, and other landmarks, cultures in other lands that we all love."

The Gardnerville author's next book, available now, is about a Chihuahua dog with epilepsy that was recently adopted in Douglas County. He goes on an adventure to have epilepsy surgery in U.C Puppy, San Francisco, Calif.

"This book will also teach children to learn more about epilepsy, service dogs. It also teaches what to do if a seizure occurs," Nestroyl said. "I've suffered throughout my life with epilepsy. I've wanted others to learn more about this disease. Information is taken from the Epilepsy foundation and neurologists in our area."

Nestroyl's books are available at, and Barnes and Noble book stores.
