Highway 395 along Topaz Lake will be closed at night to all traffic for two weeks starting 7 p.m. Wednesday for construction.
CalTrans will begin a half mile south of the California Agricultural Inspection Station.
The last road closure will end at 7 a.m. on May 16.
During the day one lane will be open for traffic control. Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
A signed detour between Holbrook Junction and Bridgeport will be set up during night closures. State Route 89 over Monitor Pass will remain open for vehicle traffic.
Contractor Disney Construction will be doing major earthwork during the two weeks. Work will continue until October with installation of retaining walls and realignment of the roadway.
