Funds sought for psych evaluation of murder suspect

An attorney for murder suspect Jeanine Mona Escandon asked Wednesday that her client be bound over to district court so that she may request funds for a psychological evaluation.East Fork Judge Tom Perkins conditionally waived a preliminary hearing for the 38-year-old suspect at the request of her court-appointed lawyer Kris Brown.She is to appear May 8 before District Judge Dave Gamble to request funds for an evaluation.Escandon is being held in Douglas County Jail on $1 million bail.She is charged with open murder with use of a deadly weapon and grand larceny of a motor vehicle in the death of …
