Stars of Tomorrow competition applications due Tuesday

The annual Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley "Stars of Tomorrow" talent competition is 5 p.m. May 13, in the CVIC Hall in Minden.

The first place scholarship in this competition will be $1,250; second place scholarship will be $750, third place $500, and fourth place $250. There will also be a peoples' choice award for $250.

Applicants will be judged on technical difficulty, technical execution, and audience appeal. The competition will be open to performing artists currently enrolled in grades 9 through 12 in Carson Valley, including home schooled students in the Douglas County School system outside of Lake Tahoe. …
