Minden offers free Western movies

How long has it been since you whiled away a lazy Saturday afternoon watching cowboy movies? You'll have your chance April 28 at the "The CVIC Hall Centennial Celebration Cowboy Film Festival" hosted by the Town of Minden.Admission is free - and so is the popcorn - and you're invited to stay for all three shows.The town is celebrating the centennial of the CVIC Hall with a nod toward the Genoa Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival the same weekend.The movies are "Support Your Local Sheriff" at noon; "The Misfits" at 3 p.m. and "The Shootist" at 7 p.m.Guests are invited …
