Valley businesses display Western art

In partnership with the Genoa Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, the Carson Valley Arts Council has coordinated exhibitions of Western art that will be displayed in businesses along and near the Highway 395 corridor in Minden and Gardnerville during the month of April.

"The Carson Valley Arts Council appreciates the many businesses that have enthusiastically agreed to host exhibits, and CVAC also thanks the numerous local artists who have contributed their creations to this effort," said Stephen Farnsley CVAC executive director.

Viewing exhibits is during the business hours at each location. Each business will have works by at least one area artist.

Art in exhibition is available for sale with 20 percent of sales benefiting the Carson Valley Arts Council's capital campaign to renovate the historic Copeland Warehouse into a performing arts center. Prices are noted on each piece. Those interested in purchasing one or more pieces can call the Carson Valley Arts Council at 782-8207 for further information.
