The Western Nevada College Foundation has extended the 2012-2013 scholarship application deadline to Sunday. More than 120 scholarships are available for students planning to attend WNC during the next academic year. Scholarships are funded through the generosity of local community donations from friends of the college, organizations, businesses, service clubs, alumni, and WNC faculty and staff. Graduating high school seniors, recent graduates and continuing WNC students with at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average are eligible to receive scholarships, although some scholarships will require a higher GPA and verification of financial need.
