Storm snarls Kingsbury, more on the way

Slushy snow and ice snarled Kingsbury Grade this morning, forcing its closure on at least two or three brief occasions.

At least two accidents were reported over the grade and several cars spun out, blocking traffic.

Douglas County Sheriff's deputies worked traffic control in order to get snowplows on station where they could clear the road. Traffic was clear both ways on Kingsbury by 10:30 a.m.

Weather watchers reported .78 inches at South Lake Tahoe with a mixture of rain and snow.

Myers reported an inch of rain over the past 24 hours. Heavenly only reported an inch of snow …
