Gardnerville resident bound for World Grand Prix

Gardnerville resident Lux Turner may be just 6 years old, but he's already making his way in the world of motocross.

Turner tore up races around the West in the last year, winning the 50cc class at the AV Motocross Spring Series (Lancasters, Calif.), the SMRA Fall Series, the Estreet MX (Marysville, Wa.), the Argyll MX Park (Dixon, Calif.) and the California Gold Cup Series Round 4 (Lake Elsinore, Calif.).

Now, he is seeking local sponsors to help him compete in the World Mini Grand Prix of 2012, set for April 9-15 in Mesquite, NV.
