The Alpine County Sheriff's Office released video today of a patrol car colliding with a white pickup during a snowy day in 2010.
According to the sheriff's office, the California Highway Patrol investigated the Dec. 29 accident, in which neither driver was injured.
According to Undersheriff Robert Levy, the driver in the oncoming lane lost control of their vehicle and struck the patrol vehicle, causing both airbags to deploy.
The video also shows how much snow fell last winter.
That morning Highway 88 through the Sierra was closed just past Pickett's Junction. It remained closed through the day and into the next morning.
