The Douglas County Senior Center will be conducting the 13th annual Senior Health Fair 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, in the Valley Ballroom at the Carson Valley Inn located at 1627 Highway 395, Minden.
Admission is free and this event is open to the public.
The health fair is designed to provide seniors an expanded awareness of health care providers and services in our community and to create an opportunity for individuals to address concerns with health care professionals.
Many local organizations will be on hand to answer questions and share information. Informational booths will include; vision, hearing, Medicare counseling, Alzheimer's support, residential care, area hospitals, home care, TRIAD, Young at Heart Senior Citizen's Club and many more.
In conjunction with Carson Valley Medical Center blood work will be offered. No appointment or physicians orders are necessary.
Raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
Booth spaces are still available, but are filling fast.
