The 23rd annual Kids' Fishing Derby will be June 2-3 at Lampe Park in Gardnerville.The two-day event annually draws more than 1,500 participants between the ages of 3 and 12, making it the largest free kids' fishing derby in the West.This year's board members include Pamela Martin, Debbie Conde, Tammy Lancaster, Trent Dowell, Guy Martin, Teresa Clark, Angela Gerhart, Terry Hansen, John Adams, Mike Bashaw, Chuck Cole, Steve Hamilton, Bob Ellis and Mark Cale.More than 300 volunteers are needed to make the derby a success.
