Space available for Christmas dinner

At the planning meeting for the Noel Christmas Day dinner held on Saturday, it was brought to our attention that there are families who are living in places without cooking facilities. We would like to reach out to these families, plus those without family and invite them to join us on Christmas Day.

You are invited to the 13th Noel Christmas Day dinner for those without family (or without cooking facilities). It's not too late to be a guest. The dinner is held at St. Gall Pastoral Center, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville on Dec. 25.

We need to know how many want to be included in our dinner so we can plan the meal.

Preparations are under way for this family style dinner. Volunteers are ready to help with all the necessary tasks to make this dinner successful. We do need strong helpers to wash dishes and clean up after the event. Donations of turkeys, hams or money are always appreciated.

Anyone in the community who will be without family or unable to cook a Christmas meal is invited to attend. To plan the menu we will need your name, address and phone number and the number of people who will attend.

Please call Rita Hill, event coordinator, as soon as possible at 783-9908, to receive a personal invitation or to donate to the event. Transportation is available for those who need it.
