Noel Christmas day dinner at St. Gall

Once again, St. Gall Church will be hosting the 13th Noel Christmas day dinner for those without family.

Anyone in the community, either single or a couple, who would otherwise be alone on Christmas day, is invited to the Christmas day dinner of traditional turkey, ham and all the trimmings, followed by a gift exchange and desserts. It is a chance to meet new friends and become part of a new family.

Each person, or couple, will receive a written invitation to the event, which helps plan the amount of food to prepare. The event planners will need your name, address, phone number and single or married status.

Volunteers are always needed to help with the event. This year there is a need for a volunteer chef or cook to oversee the cooking on Christmas Day. The present chef, Jeanne Whited, will only be available on Christmas Eve to prepare the food. All helpers join the guests for dinner to make one big family get together on Christmas Day.

To receive a written invitation, volunteer, make a donation, or for more information, call Rita Hill, event coordinator, at 783-9908.
