Memorial fund set up for victim's daughter

1976-2009

Knox Justin Johnson Kolbe, 33, died Dec. 30, 2009, as a result of a car

accident near Hooker, Okla.

Mr. Kolbe was born Aug. 5, 1976, in Carson City to Helen (Johnson) and Will

Kolbe. He graduated from Douglas High School, and

attended the University of Nevada, Reno; Redlands Community College in El

Reno, Okla., and graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in

Goodwell, Okla., with bachelor of science degrees in animal science and

agri-business.

Mr. Kolbe was married to CaSandra (Sandi) Ninemire on June 29, 2002.

He was a meat selector for National Beef in Liberal, Kan., and served on the

Hardesty City Council, the Texas County Junior Livestock Show Board and was

president of the International Feedlot Cowboys Association.

He ran cattle, enjoyed roping and was an avid hunter. He was a member of the

Hardesty United Methodist Church.

Mr. Kolbe is survived by wife Sandi Kolbe and daughter Camdyn Pearl Kolbe of

Hardesty, mother Helen Johnson of Gardnerville, father Will Kolbe and wife

Gail of Genoa, brothers Drew Kolbe and Elliot Kolbe and wife Laura, and

grandfather Knox Johnson, all of Gardnerville. He was preceded in death by

grandparents Albert and Ruth Kolbe and Elizabeth Johnson.

Funeral services were Jan. 3, 2010, at the Hardesty School Auditorium with

the Rev. Herbert Bridgewater of Hardesty United Methodist Church

officiating. Interment was in Hartville Cemetery under the care of

Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
