The Block D Lettermen's Club at Douglas High School would like to offer a gracious thank-you to all the generous community members of Douglas County who willingly donated to our ninth annual Turkey Drive. Block D members raised $5,000 in donations for families in need this Thanksgiving holiday.
The donations help support projects such as purchasing turkeys for Gardnerville Elementary and Jacks Valley Elementary, the Backpack Buddies Project at Scarselli Elementary, and supplying turkeys and other seasonal food to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet.
Thanks to Lira's Market for their support during the food drive and thanks to the community for its continual support of Block D and all of its community service projects.
