Deputies are investigating a skinned animal carcass left Monday on the hood of a car in the 1300 block of Yellowjacket in the Gardnerville Ranchos.
A resident said the carcass and the guts of the animal slid out of a white plastic back left on the car. The animal was missing its head and feet.
According to reports, the animal's heart and a foot were on the ground.
The resident said he had no idea who would leave the carcass on his vehicle.
The carcass, believed to be a beaver, was turned over to the Nevada game warden.
