Concert series continues with Shane Dwight on June 26

The Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department continues its 13th year of the Family Summer Concert Series with the Shane Dwight Band, 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 26, at Minden Park.

Northern California native, now Nashville-based Dwight plays blues and rocks the house. The singer-songwriter also performs alternative country and American roots music. Dwight plays lead guitar and sings and the group's instrumentation has included Kevin Stewart on bass, Jerome Kimsey on drums and Robby Z on rhythm guitar.

Bring a low-backed chair or blanket and relax under the stars at Minden Park. Food will be available to purchase by the Lion's Club.

Shane Dwight is sponsored by GE Energy and Carson Valley Inn and co-sponsored by Tahoe Creamery. The concert series is free thanks sponsors GE Energy, Carson Valley Inn, Town of Minden, Tahoe Creamery, Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, Dr. James the Dentist, Nevada Johns, Stor-All, Park Place AM/PM, Carson Valley Medical Center and the Carson Valley Arts Council.

The next concert in the park is Rick Hays & American Steel on July 17, followed by the Savannah Blue Southern Rock Revue on Aug. 7 and Caravanserai on Aug. 28.
