Benefit concert

Yarn needed
The Douglas County Senior Center's knitting group seeks yarn donations. The group creates lap blankets for area homebound seniors and retirement homes. Donations accepted 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the senior center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville, 783-6455.

The Thirsty Third Thursday Wine Walk is 4:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday. Cost is $10 for wrist band, $5 for commemorative wine glass. Chances to win a $100 gift certificate. Carriage rides by Borges Family Carriage Rides, weather permitting.

‘Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D' has been rescheduled for dusk June 19, at Heritage Park off Gilman Avenue in Gardnerville. Cost is $1 for 3D glasses. Vendors include Boy Scout Troop 411, Cold Stone Creamery, DHS Music Boosters, Centerfield Sports Bar & Grill.
