Leslie Lee Gray
An autopsy today will determine if a body found alongside an Alpine County trail is a missing Sun Valley woman.
Sgt. Ron Michitarian said a hiker discovered the body along the Barney Riley trail on Friday. The bodys condition made it unidentifiable by traditional means.
Michitarian said there was no obvious cause of death.
Leslie Lee Gray, 51, has been officially missing since March 31, when her vehicle was scene parked at a popular trailhead next to Hangmans Bridge near Markleeville.
According to the Washoe County Recorders Office, Gray sold her home of 11 years on March 25.
A few days after her vehicle was spotted, Alpine County deputies started searching for her along the Carson River.
Searchers from Alpine and surrounding counties searched both sides of the Carson River for about five days before suspending the search.
Michitarian said Alpine County has no other open missing persons cases in the Hangman's Bridge area.
