Elks host heartbeat screenings Dec. 15

Staff Reports

Life Line Screening offers heart rhythm screening and an irregular heartbeat check at the Minden Douglas Elks Lodge No. 2670, 1276 Pit Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos on Dec. 15. Life Line Screening, established in 1993, provides vascular screenings. An ultrasound team travels to communities to provide screenings.

Screenings may help identify blocked arteries, irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms or hardening of the arteries in the legs. A bone density screening is also available. Register for a wellness package with heart rhythm for $149. All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete.

Appointments begin at 10 a.m. and registration is required. For information or to make an appointment, go to wwwlifelinescreening.com or call (877) 237-1287.
