Douglas County Undersheriff Paul Howell is one of the moderators of the second annual Nevada Carry Concealed Weapon Permit Holders Forum.
The event, hosted by the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association, is set for 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in room 3138 in the Nevada Legislature Building in Carson City.
The forum is to take public input regarding administration of the carry concealed weapon permitting process that is the responsibility of the county sheriffs.
In addition to Howell, the panel includes Nevada Department of Public Safety Capt. Phil ONeill who is chief of the division of records and technology, and Frank Adams, executive director of the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association.
Howell is chairman of the associations carry concealed weapon committee.
The forum is to be teleconferenced to the Grant Sawyer Building, room 4401 in Las Vegas and broadcast on the Legislatures Web site, www.leg.state.nv.us.
