Movies in the park begin with 'Goonies'

The third season of the Town of Gardnerville’s Movies in the Park opens with “The Goonies” at dusk June 27 in Heritage Park.

Bring a blanket, sand chairs and bug repellent to watch movies under the stars. Pack a picnic or enjoy treats offered by Carson Valley Lions Club and Boy Scout Troop 411, Coldstone Creamery, Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N Bake Pizza and Subway.

Movies continue with “E.T.” on July 18, the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra entertaining with show tunes before the classic movie “Citizen Kane” on Aug. 15 and Disney’s “Meet the Robinsons” on Sept. 5.

Movies in the Park are sponsored by Bad Bonz Motorsports, Bodywise Physical Therapy, Burger King, Carson Valley Accounting, Carson Valley Medical Center, Colonial Bank, Mark Smith Tire Center, Inc. ReMax Realty Affiliates, Sharkeys Casino and Studio Vogue Salon.
