The All City Production of Cole Porter's musical "Anything Goes" featuring students from Pau-Wa-Lu and Carson Valley middle schools and Douglas High School opens 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pau-Wa-Lu Cafetorium.

The show presents standards "Friendship," "I Get a Kick Out of You," "You're the Top" and "Anything Goes."

The All City production features Carson Valley Middle School eighth-grader Kaitlyn Barrett who belts out "Anything Goes" in the manner of Ethel Merman, who opened the original Broadway production in 1934.

The part of Billy Crocker is played by Douglas junior Chris Frogget who sings "It's De-Lovely." Douglas junior Ashley Gong sings "Let's Step Out," a la Betty Boop.

"Anything Goes" is directed by Pau-Wa-Lu drama teacher Rich Garrett, technical direction is by Douglas High School drama teacher James Scoggins with choreography by Carson High School musical theater student Jessica Shull. The production is a group effort of teachers and parents of students from four schools. Lead costumer is Laura Jeanne Hammer, with Wendy Frogget contributing to costumes. Music is by Milus Scruggs on piano and Marshall Brodeur on drums.
