Firefighters douse blaze on Centerville

A small brush fire backed up traffic along Centerville Lane at about 1:30 p.m. today.
Firefighters from the Gardnerville Ranchos, Gardnerville and Sheridan Acres responded to the blaze in some willows along a water-filled ditch.
At its height, embers from the fire endangered structures in the area.
