Carson men held on drug charges

Two Carson City men were arrested Wednesday on allegations they sold 61 grams of cocaine and 3.4 grams of methamphetamine to undercover officers.

Trinidad Garcia-Lugo, 30, and Jorge Villareal-Mariscal, 22, were arrested for trafficking in cocaine. They were picked up in the parking lot of a north Douglas County shopping center.

Douglas County Sgt. Dan Britton said Thursday the arrests were the culmination of a month-long investigation into their alleged cocaine distribution activities.

The arrests were made by the Douglas Street Enforcement Team and the Tri-NET drug task force.

Both suspects live in the 3300 block of South Carson Street in Carson City.

Britton said Garcia-Lugo has been deported twice from the United States to Mexico.

At their arrests, the suspects were accompanied by a woman with three small children, Britton said.

The woman was not arrested.

Garcia-Lugo was charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and conspiracy to violate the Uniformed Controlled Substance Act.

His bail was set at $85,000. Villareal-Mariscal was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and conspiracy to violate the Uniformed Controlled Substance Act. His bail was set at $60,000.
