The 12th annual Parade of Lights begins 5 p.m. Saturday at Lampe Park, continues on Highway 395 and ends in Minden Park at about 6 p.m. This year's theme is "Holiday Traditions From Around the World."

Carson Valley businesses, community organizations and individuals parade illuminated floats, antique cars, animals, bands and other creative mobile objects in this event.

Grand marshal is Ray Sidney, president and CEO of Big George Ventures, and is responsible for contributions to area schools, the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Carson Valley and for funding the Big George sports complex at Douglas High School.

Produced by Carson Valley Chamber of Commence &amp; Visitors Authority, the Parade of Lights sponsors include Bing Materials, Michael Hohl Chevrolet of Gardnerville, Carson Valley Golf Course, Jessica Jensen of Elliot Ames and Accolades Trophies.
