Vehicle detailer works Topaz to Tahoe

Tahoe-based Precision Detailing, a new mobile vehicle detailing company, is receiving numerous clients in Carson Valley, even as far out as Topaz Lake.

"I've got clients all over the place, and I'm moving around a lot," said owner and detailer Rudy Garcia.

Garcia, who's lived at Lake Tahoe for 16 years, said he has seven years experience in detailing professional water craft and cars, and just recently started the mobile service.

"I make it convenient to get your car or boat detailed while you're at work, or at home catching up on some paperwork," he said. "I'm certified and insured."

Garcia recently worked on a Plymouth Prowler in Gardnerville.

"I gave it the full service detail, waxing the body, polishing the rims, treating the interior leather, degreasing and washing the engine, polishing the chrome and coating with silicon the plastic and rubber hosing."

Garcia said that since he was a child he loved working on cars.

"I would build models and paint them. I would go to car shows and learn everything I could."

Garcia said he now loves working on his own car, a 2005 black Ford Mustang.

"It's what I'm about: horsepower and chrome."

Precision Detailing is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"I'll work at night with my high beams on if I have to," Garcia said.
