A 17-year-old Douglas High School student was taken by Care Flight to Renown Medical Center with unspecified injuries, after being hit by a northbound car on Highway 88 near Douglas High School, around 9:47 a.m. Thursday.
The student was westbound in the crosswalk, according to Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Amy Halton.
“The car simply didn’t stop,” she said.
An investigation is pending, Halton said.
