Senior trips in Alpine County

The Fifty-Plus Club of Alpine County will be taking the following weekly bus trips this month:

n Today - Douglas County Senior Center for lunch and bingo

n Aug. 9 - Carson City

n Aug. 16 - South Lake Tahoe

Buses meet at Alpine County Behavioral Health Services at 10 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m.

The following are programs/trips in addition to the weekly bus trips:

n Alpine County Behavioral Health Services will host the Fifty-Plus Club monthly potluck with speaker Frank Jacobelli LCSW whose topic is "Feeling Good and Your Brain." The senior luncheon will take place noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Early Learning Center, 100 Foothill Road, Woodfords.

n The Senior Program in conjunction with the Douglas County Senior Center is going to the Nevada State Fair for a free senior day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 25. Buses leave at 8 a.m. The cost is $4 for transportation, which includes a box lunch and a game of bingo at the fair. Call for your seat.
